Meet in Owl’s Nest Park

The trail starts in Owl’s Nest Park in the main Entrance off of Madison Ave. Your guide, Derek, will meet you there.

We highly encourage guests to arrive early. We will not wait longer than 5 minutes past our departure time.

The level of difficulty is rated as MEDIUM. We will walk at a moderate hiking pace, with a few elevation changes and some city steps.

About the Experience

Terrian & Landscape

Sidewalks, city steps, bridges, and pedestrian pathways. The hike features parts of Evanston, East Walnut Hills, and Hyde Park.

We will start promptly at 10:00 am in Owl’s Nest Park, an urban oasis wedged between multiple distinct Places. Together we’ll explore them, trekking through parts of Hyde Park, East Walnut Hills, and Evanston. Then we’ll finish in the heart of O’Bryonville.

What to Bring

Bring water and sunscreen, and wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather.

About Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness

A wellness program by Cincinnati Parks Foundation that is more than just a guide; it’s a movement that makes wellness easy, welcoming, and part of everyday life. In partnership with the Osher Center for Integrative Health at UC, Findlay Market, and others, we offer free or low-cost programs such as hiking, yoga, Tai Chi, skating, and access to fresh local food.
