Bender Mountain Flowers

Difficulty

Medium Difficulty. There are some very steep hills, but we’re going slow this time. The hike lasts about 2 hours. There is no bathroom facility on site.

The hike will start promptly at 10:00 am, leaving from the main trailhead parking lot at the entrance of Bender Mountain Nature Preserve. Please either copy the coordinates or see the map for see this map of the preserve here: Bender Mountain Map We’ll be meeting at the parking lot at the Green Trail.

We have a route in mind to share this great recreation gem with our followers that includes some great aspects of the nature preserve, including looking at and enjoying the native spring wildflowers. It’s a little informational, but this experience is mostly meant to be a learning experience that we can share as your guide is not an expert in natural wildlife. So if you know stuff along the way, please share!

Dogs are allowed but they must be on leash at all times.

Terrain

Dirt hiking paths, rocky creek crossings, and somewhat rough terrain.

What to Bring

Bring your water and sunscreen. Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and appropriate clothing for the weather.
